Ashley Beary X Dakotas Boutique

I have been keeping a big secret the past few weeks and I am so excited to finally tell you guys – I now partner own a clothing boutique!! This whole experience was completely unplanned and honestly came out of no where. I have always wanted to own my own clothing boutique, but I was not expecting something like this to happen for a very long time – if ever. When the founder of Dakota’s Boutique, Laurie Corwin, approached me with this opportunity it felt like such a dream come true. Although the timing didn’t seem quite right considering I was 7 months pregnant at the time, I knew God had a plan and I had to trust his timing! I had never actually met Laurie in person even though we had collaborated a few times before when I lived in Florida, but she had followed me for years and when she saw I moved back to SC for good she had an urge to reach out. Due to the fact she moved to California a few years back and with Covid hitting brick and mortar stores hard she knew she wanted to take Dakota’s to the next level, especially the e-commerce side. With my background in marketing she felt like I had a wealth of social media knowledge and content creation which was the ultimate piece of the puzzle Dakotas was needing.

Over the past few weeks we have both dove in head first and spent many days and nights working on what’s next for Dakota’s Boutique. She instantly booked a flight and flew in for a week so that we could finally meet and we could get the store inventory ready for all of you to shop! For all of my local SC babes if you want to visit our storefront we’re currently open from Wednesday – Saturday from 11 – 5. The store is located in the heart of 5 points at 745 Saluda Ave. Columbia, SC 29205. We will hopefully resume full time hours soon once Fall starts up and after baby Beary gets here. In the meantime, we have been working diligently to build up the online presence and get as much of our inventory on the website for you all to easily shop!

It has been so hard hiding this from you guys and not taking you with me to the store, behind the scenes all day everyday but I am so happy that I can now finally do that! You guys have been with me through, well basically almost everything it feels like here in 2020 with the move, and the new home renovation, and the baby, and now this! I feel so beyond blessed and thankful for this opportunity and I hope you guys are just as excited as I am. I can’t wait to show you guys all of the new collections we have been planning for the upcoming fall and holiday seasons. We’re 5 weeks out from Baby Beary’s due date and this mama can’t wait to dress up in all of the amazing pieces I love post baby bump! With that being said we are working on the new “Ashley Beary Collection” that will be featured monthly, and will consist of curated trendy must-have styles from yours truly. We already carry so many national brands that I love and incorporate into my everyday wardrobe like Free People, Show Me Your Mumu, Steve Madden, and more.

If you guys would like to know more about how you can help support me in this new venture please feel free to follow the store on social media channels -Instagram: @Shopdakotas, Pinterest, Facebook, Tik Tok and Twitter. Also, if you have shopped with us before or plan to order something now, we would graciously love a quick google or facebook review! Any and every little bit of support helps and I am so thankful for every single one of you guys and this platform.

Sweet Baby Beary Shower

This past weekend celebrating our sweet baby boy was an absolute dream! Due to covid we kept a small and intimate gathering at our new home and it was perfect! I had the most amazing group of ladies host my one and only baby shower and they brought my entire vision to life. Wanted to send a quick thank you to them all – Taylor, Stephanie, Erin, Sara Ann, Mary Beth, Cathy, Sheri, Bridget and Mom – you guys always go above and beyond to love and support me!

Now on to the good stuff. We tried to take as many photos as we could before everyone started to arrive so that I could share all of the fun details with you guys! I know I have a lot of expecting moms on here but even if you’re not and you’re just throwing a birthday or bridal party I hope this is helpful to you all.

Leave a comment below with your favorite part of the shower!

Let’s start with the invitations!

blue roses are from Saaya Rose, Baby shower nails by Kathryn Mcilwain

The main question I received on Instagram was about our balloon arch! It is a DIY balloon garland kit from Lushra and you can use my code ASHLEY10 for 10% off your order. I chose the colors Blush, White, Eucalyptus, Pastel Matte Blue and Pastel Matte Green. Shop both of our outfits below.

Our sweet neighbor made our cake, Cookie Shack, LLC made our adorable cookies. You can find links to everything else (our baby balloon boxes, honey bear cups etc.) along with some other party decor options I love below.

Baby Shower Style For Every Mom

Hey babes! I’ve been getting a lot of questions from you all for some baby shower dress options since a lot of you are also mamas to be. I can’t believe our baby shower is next weekend! It has been such a strange and crazy time to be pregnant during the pandemic but I am just glad that we are able to have an intimate baby shower at our home with close friends and family. I’m not exactly sure what I will be wearing yet but right now I think it will be this dress from Petal + Pup. (You can use my code: ASHLEYBEARY for a discount) Another website that I love to shop for special events from is Vici and you can use my code: Ashley20 for 20% off of their site. Or you can shop some of my favorite options below.

Front Door Facelift

Happy Monday babes! I have received so many questions about our new front door decor so I figured I would do a quick little blog post recap. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of our front door before we gave it a nice new facelift… I know total #bloggerfail! Let’s just say it was a dingy old navy with paint all in the windows and an old dingy brass handle – which I did manage to take a picture of (as seen above). If you’ve been following me for a little while then you know that I love thrift shopping and T.J Maxx & Homegoods, which is where I bought a lot of my decor from and unfortunately can’t link. But I have rounded up a bunch of similar items for you all to shop to match my front porch! First and foremost, let’s get my outfit out of the way. My favorite little white dress is from Petal + Pup and you can use my code: ASHLEYBEARY for a discount on their entire website.

You can shop the rest of my look here:

Toyota Tailgate – Taxslayer Gator Bowl

First and foremost, Robert and I want to give a huge thank you to Toyota for sending us to the 2020 Taxslayer Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, FL. You all know I drive a Jeep and Robert drives a Chevy but after this past week driving the new 2019 Toyota RAV4 has completely won us over! Aside from the gorgeous exterior this car had all of the bells and whistles you could possibly need and was so spacious inside! A few of my favorite features about this car was the huge moon roof, the remote keyless entry system with the push to start, and the day and night rear view mirror/camera. We were absolutely spoiled for a week with this car and it was a very sad day when we had to turn it back in!

During the #ToyotaTailgate  experience we were able to look at the new Tacoma and Tundra trucks and Robert was super torn. He is definitely going to be in the market for a new truck soon and has had his eye on both of these options so it was perfect timing. We could not have had a better tailgate experience – we had the cutest set up, best barbecue in town, and our seats were so close to the field!! We were ultimately pulling for the underdogs (Indiana University) to win and they were up until the last quarter of the game which was so tough to watch! Meeting all of the Toyota employees was such a pleasure and they made sure everything was such a fun and easy breeze for us that weekend. I am so thankful to be a part of the Toyota family and I couldn’t recommend a better car brand to keep you safe on the roads!

I hope you enjoyed this review and definitely leave a comment with any questions you have about the car or experience!
