I just got my new rug in from ruggable and I could not wait to share it with you guys! Before I get started, I wanted to mention that you can use my code: FUNBEARY10 for 10% off your ruggable order! I picked this beauty because I love the vintage pattern and the muted colors throughout. I picked the largest size 8X10 because my office is a fairly large space and I wanted it to catch everyones eye that walks by. I also wanted a large rug because I use it to take flat lays on for my Boutique & my poshmark account (as seen in my last photo). It also is the main backdrop in my selfie photos for outfits that I take.
One of the main reasons I love ruggable is because their rugs are super light weight and washable! Your order comes with two different pieces – the thin rug topper you select and a black latex free material (the same thing used for yoga mats) velcro like bottom making it a nonslip. It’s super easy to install and to take up when you need to wash it. I Love this rug so much I’m already looking at the next one I’m going to purchase for my master bedroom!
Hope you guys enjoyed this quick new home decor find!
It’s my favorite time of year! If you were born and raised in the south like me, you probably love college football game days too. Growing up in Columbia, South Carolina (home of the USC Gamecocks) I attended many home games with my friends but I ended up going away for college to Charleston, SC. Although I love the gamecocks, I was actually raised a Georgia bulldogs fan thanks to my dad who is a die hard dawg. Every year before football season starts I like to stock up on my game day gear to wear and I found the most adorable website called Stewart Simmons.
They have the cutest graphic tees which are my favorite pieces to style for games! I love graphic tees because you can dress them up with some cute boots or booties for the cooler game days but you can also dress them down with some leggings and casual sneakers. I also love that they have so many different styles and prints, from long oversized tees to short cropped tees to animal prints. Stewart Simmons carries 7 different collegiate teams (Clemson, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, FSU & Mississippi State) and they have a wide variety of sizes from XS – XXL. They also carry a few toddler and baby onesies to match with your mini!
You guys know how much I love to twin with my little man Kade! We’re a house divided when it comes to college football since Robert went to the University of South Carolina but I have to admit he’s not as die hard of a fan as I am. Hence why I was able to grab a Georgia onesie for Kade to rock this football season. We are so excited to introduce Kade to college football game days because it’s not just a sport – it’s a community and lifelong traditions to celebrate and Stewart Simmons was created on that same ideal.
Robert and I are actually headed to the first South Carolina football game here in Columbia on Saturday where they will play Eastern Illinois and I can’t wait to wear my new Cocky Cropped Boyfriend Tee (photographed in the first two photos). This top was so good I had to grab it for Georgia games too (3rd & 4th photo). I’ll link the rest of my outfit details below in case you all want to shop those as well.
Huge thank you to Stewart Simmons for sponsoring this Game Day blog post and giving me a discount code for all of you! Use code: AB20 for 20% off your entire order. I hope you all enjoyed it!
I just wanted to do a quick recap of our weekend stay at 20 South Battery – one of the most historic buildings in Charleston, South Carolina. Built in 1843 as a private mansion and styled through the years to become the shining example of Charlestonian architecture you see today, this intimate, eleven-room boutique hotel of 20 South Battery is a singular way to experience history in modern luxury accommodations. [reference from their website] I attended their grand opening Gatsby party and was able to meet the owners and so many other sweet and inspiring souls. We had the absolute best night and I was so thoroughly impressed by how well preserved the owners kept the mansion even after all of the renovating they had to do. This place is absolutely stunning and the staff were always so nice and helpful anytime of the day. I promise you will get a true authentic Charlestown experience if you stay here, not the mention the prices are super affordable. It is located on the Battery which is walking distance to all of the infamous tourist spots downtown like the pineapple fountain, rainbow row, the Charleston city market and so many awesome stores and restaurants! They also have a gorgeous 3,200 sq. ft. garden out back that you can rent out for any events you may want like a small intimate wedding, bridal shower brunch, or birthday party. Last but not least I wanted to link my emerald green fringe Gatsby dress for you all here.
It only took me 6 months but I’m finally showing you guys Kades nursery reveal. I wanted to spruce it up a bit before Spring and Summer with some more color so I found this adorable Jungle Safari Multicolor Rug from Ruggable and knew I had to finally show you guys! I ordered the size 5X7 but honestly could have gone with the 6X9 for this space. I also loved the round option for this space but I wanted the thicker bottom insert that comes along with the rectangular versions. I have expressed how much I love Ruggable rugs before because they are very light weight and machine washable – which is a must with a crawling baby! Kade absolutely loves trying to grab and play with all of the animals on his rug and if he has a spit up mess we can just pick it up and throw it in the wash no problem. They also clean up so easy by just spraying some shout and scrubbing it out real quick. This is our second rug from Ruggable and I think it’s safe to say I will be buying one for every space in our home. They were kind enough to give you all a discount code so be sure to use it (FUNBEARY10) on their entire site for a discount.
As for the rest of the nursery – I linked most of what I could under the photos above. A lot the major furniture items (crib, swivel rocking chair, etc.) were hand me downs from friends which really helped us on saving. It also allowed us to put a lot of little things on our registry that we necessarily didn’t have to have but they were best sellers on amazon so why not!? Kade has slept in his crib since he was 11 weeks old so I would say my number one must have baby product is our Newton Baby Breathable Mattress – if you click the link you can receive a $30 off coupon code! It may seem a little pricey but you can’t put a price on a mama’s peace of mind that your baby is safe and sound asleep all night. It is also the only machine washable mattress from cover to core – do you see a trend here with all of my favorite baby products!?
As for most of the wall decor that is not linked – I bought most of it from Hobby Lobby back before baby boy was born. I will also link my amazon baby page and pregnancy page here for all of you mamas that are interested. Everything on that is on these pages I have purchased and love and I update it every time we find something new. For example his diaper pail, wipe warmer, sound machine, monitor, walker, and so much more are linked on the amazon baby page.
I hope you all enjoyed this blog post and if you have any questions at all be sure to leave them in the comment box below.
