The Perfect Game Day Outfit

The Perfect Game Day Outfit

It’s my favorite time of year! If you were born and raised in the south like me, you probably love college football game days too. Growing up in Columbia, South Carolina (home of the USC Gamecocks) I attended many home games with my friends but I ended up going away for college to Charleston, SC. Although I love the gamecocks, I was actually raised a Georgia bulldogs fan thanks to my dad who is a die hard dawg. Every year before football season starts I like to stock up on my game day gear to wear and I found the most adorable website called Stewart Simmons.

They have the cutest graphic tees which are my favorite pieces to style for games! I love graphic tees because you can dress them up with some cute boots or booties for the cooler game days but you can also dress them down with some leggings and casual sneakers. I also love that they have so many different styles and prints, from long oversized tees to short cropped tees to animal prints. Stewart Simmons carries 7 different collegiate teams (Clemson, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, FSU & Mississippi State) and they have a wide variety of sizes from XS – XXL. They also carry a few toddler and baby onesies to match with your mini!

You guys know how much I love to twin with my little man Kade! We’re a house divided when it comes to college football since Robert went to the University of South Carolina but I have to admit he’s not as die hard of a fan as I am. Hence why I was able to grab a Georgia onesie for Kade to rock this football season. We are so excited to introduce Kade to college football game days because it’s not just a sport – it’s a community and lifelong traditions to celebrate and Stewart Simmons was created on that same ideal.

Robert and I are actually headed to the first South Carolina football game here in Columbia on Saturday where they will play Eastern Illinois and I can’t wait to wear my new Cocky Cropped Boyfriend Tee (photographed in the first two photos). This top was so good I had to grab it for Georgia games too (3rd & 4th photo). I’ll link the rest of my outfit details below in case you all want to shop those as well.

Huge thank you to Stewart Simmons for sponsoring this Game Day blog post and giving me a discount code for all of you! Use code: AB20 for 20% off your entire order. I hope you all enjoyed it!

First and foremost, Robert and I want to give a huge thank you to Toyota for sending us to the 2020 Taxslayer Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, FL. You all know I drive a Jeep and Robert drives a Chevy but after this past week driving the new 2019 Toyota RAV4 has completely won us over! Aside from the gorgeous exterior this car had all of the bells and whistles you could possibly need and was so spacious inside! A few of my favorite features about this car was the huge moon roof, the remote keyless entry system with the push to start, and the day and night rear view mirror/camera. We were absolutely spoiled for a week with this car and it was a very sad day when we had to turn it back in!

During the #ToyotaTailgate  experience we were able to look at the new Tacoma and Tundra trucks and Robert was super torn. He is definitely going to be in the market for a new truck soon and has had his eye on both of these options so it was perfect timing. We could not have had a better tailgate experience – we had the cutest set up, best barbecue in town, and our seats were so close to the field!! We were ultimately pulling for the underdogs (Indiana University) to win and they were up until the last quarter of the game which was so tough to watch! Meeting all of the Toyota employees was such a pleasure and they made sure everything was such a fun and easy breeze for us that weekend. I am so thankful to be a part of the Toyota family and I couldn’t recommend a better car brand to keep you safe on the roads!

I hope you enjoyed this review and definitely leave a comment with any questions you have about the car or experience!

XOXO

Greatest Embrace Earth Red Sweater // Distressed Dark Wash Skinny Jeans // Cheetah Print Clutch // Guess Women’s Nicolo Bootie

Happy hump day babes!! I get a lot of questions from you all about who takes all of my pictures and what kind of camera I use, etc… So I figured I would write a blog post for you all. Before I get into all the details of my photos I just have to share with you all how obsessed I am with this outfit from Shop Red Dress Boutique! This earth red sweater keeps you oh so warm and cozy and these distressed skinny jeans are my favorite pair of denim in my closet right now. I paired this outfit with a clutch I purchased off of Poshmark last year but I have linked a similar one from Red Dress Boutique here! I am also wearing my favorite dark brown Guess Nicolo bootie.

Okay now on to the good stuff!

1.Who takes all of your pictures? –  MY MOM!! That’s right! No, she is not a professional photographer by any means. Yes, she has been snapping pictures of me since I was born so it is nothing new for her. HA. A lot of full time bloggers pay a professional photographer which is awesome but why not save money and enjoy a mom/daughter day date every once in awhile, am I right!?

2. What kind of camera do you use? –  I use the White Canon Eos Rebel SL1 DSLR Camera with a Canon EF 50 mm portrait lens. The portrait lens is what most bloggers or blogger photographers use so that the background of their photos are blurred out. You can see this in the pictures posted above.

3.  How do you edit your photos? – So just like my mom is no professional photographer, I am no professional editor. I have tried photoshop and lightroom and it is all just too much work and confusing for me. So, I decided to stick to simple editing apps on my phone, the main one I use is called VSCO. This app has multiple FREE presets as well as other presets you can purchase, as well as a large variety of editing tools. I haven’t bought many presets and the main 3 ones I use are free (A4, A5, & A6). After picking a color preset I like based on the photo I am editing I will then use the editing tools. I usually use multiple editing tools depending on the photo whether it needs to be lightened or darkened but one of the main editing tools I always use is sharpen because I like my photos to look sharp and crisp.

I placed two before & after photos side by side at the end of the picture list in this blog post so that you can see the difference. Both photos on the left are raw straight from the camera photos and then the pictures on the right are how I edited them. I hope this short blog posts was informative and helped answer some of you alls questions! Like I said I am no professional photographer or photo editor but this is the basic way I shoot and edit all of my photos. If you all are looking for some professional photographers in the Carolina’s I’ll list a few of my favorites that I have worked with personally here!
